Summer is here and with that may come some expectations about what it should look like. But, our current state of affairs may require us to adjust those expectations and potentially even deal with other issues that arise.
Many experts are talking about the adverse effects of social distancing and how it can contribute to the stalling of appropriate child development as well as to depression and anxiety in our children. It’s not a fun topic to think about but important nonetheless.
Check out the article in The Atlantic for some perspective and helpful hints on how to continue to cope. If you are concerned about your child it never hurts to dig a little deeper and ask the tough questions. As they say, knowledge is power and a little prevention goes a long way.
