At K Sports Complex, younger children can begin in parent-and-child classes that use movement, play and simple soccer activities to build confidence and coordination. Older children participate more independently while learning age-appropriate skills such as dribbling, passing, teamwork and listening to a coach.

Children who are new to organized activities often do best in a Hoppers class or a beginner class for their age level . Children with previous soccer experience may be ready for Micro classes.

3. Does my child need soccer experience to join Lil' Kickers in Manassas?

No. Children do not need previous soccer experience to join Lil’ Kickers at K Sports Complex in Manassas.

Lil’ Kickers classes are designed to welcome beginners while also helping more experienced players continue developing their skills. Coaches introduce soccer skills gradually through creative, age-appropriate games and activities.

Depending on the class, children may work on balance, coordination, ball control, dribbling, passing, listening, cooperation and teamwork. Each child is encouraged to participate at their own pace while building confidence both on and off the field.

4. Does a parent participate in Lil' Kickers classes at K Sports Complex?

Parent or caregiver participation depends on the child’s age and class level.

At K Sports Complex, parents participate on the field in Bunnies, Thumpers, and Cottontails classes for ages 18 months to 3 1/2 years old. These classes help younger children feel comfortable while developing balance, coordination, listening skills and familiarity with group activities.

Children in Hoppers participate independently with their coach starting at 3 years old. Parents can watch from Viewing Areas.

Because facility layouts and class policies can vary, families should review the class description or contact Chase Coppola before their first visit.

Yes. Families can request a free introductory Lil’ Kickers class at K Sports Complex, subject to class availability.

A free class gives your child the opportunity to meet the coach, experience the class format and participate in age-appropriate soccer activities before enrolling. It also gives parents a chance to see whether the class schedule, coaching style and participation level are a good fit.
